Bangin' And Sangin'
Billy Jonas
This video inspires audience participation! Your children will be on their feet before the third drumbeat!
Billy Jonas, former member of the funky folk duo THE BILLYS, whose songs are featured in the motion picture "HAPPY CAMPERS," performs his original songs ("Old St. Helen," "Some Houses," "Bangin' and Sangin'," "One") and well known family favorites ("Pharaoh, Pharaoh," "Michael Finnigan," "Lean On Me"). There's lots more, with voice, guitar, and "Industrial Re-percussion" - a collection of instruments made from found and recycled objects. Kids of all ages can't resist bangin' and sangin' (pardon our slangin') with Billy and his infectious rhythms.
A master percussionist and animated singer/songwriter, Billy Jonas has been an international performer and educator for over a decade. His unique brand of "foraged folk music" has delighted thousands at schools, festivals, clubs, and coffee houses. Billy has shared the stage with Richard Thompson, Pete Seeger, Tom Paxton, hundreds of smiling young faces, and other acoustic luminaries.
So grab your favorite instrument, pot, pan, whatever, and start BANGIN' & SANGIN' ALONG WITH BILLY!
Color. Running time: 41 Minutes

Rod Stewart ... In Concert
Rod Stewart, Keith Richards, The Faces
1974 - Color - 75 min
From "Twisting the Night Away" to "You Send Me," Rod and the band (including Ron Wood on guitar) turn the stage into a living thing, pushing out the hard-driving rock-and-roll that made them all famous. Forget soft ballads and disco baggage, this is the stuff of legend with Stewart holding the mike like a turned-on Uzzi and never letting you forget it. ". . . scratchy and raw . . . nothing is more suitable against the background of screaming guitars and raunchy rock".

Grand Funk Railroad, The Tams, The Swinging Medallions

"Its 100,000 swingers making the scene on inner-spring sand," said a citizen of Daytona Beach, and now its here for all to see! Welcome to that special mix of maniacal footage featuring the infamous "spring break" from the 1968 docu-film "Mondo Daytona" laced with Grand Funk Railroad, the Tams, and the Swinging Medallions. Hear the Tams mellow out with "What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am?" along with the Swinging Medallions doing their all-time hit, "Double Shot of My Babys Love," and wind up with the Grand Funk creating psychadelic riffs that split the screen so that every pixel lights up with fire! |

Of Men and Music
Jascha Heifitz and Artur Rubenstein
1942 - B/W - 78 minutes
Five of the greatest musical talents of this century are chronicled in this invaluable documentary of men and women who devote their lives to the discipline of being classical musicians. Artur Rubenstein brings new life to the cascading notes of Mendlessohns "Spinning Song" and Franz Lists "Liebestraum." Nadine Conner and Jan Peerce join in song for "O Paradiso" from Donizettis comic opera "Don Pasquale." Then after a revealing glimpse of his life at home, Jasha Heifitz turns a simple orchestra rehearsal into a stunning concert. For the finale, renowned conductor Dimitri Mitropoulous leads the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra through the third movement of Lists "Faust Symphony."
